Fashion commentator and Kingston University visiting Professor Caryn Franklin MBE is hosting an event to talk about her new book Skewed: Decoding Media Bias.

Caryn will be speaking to staff and students about the book which looks at the cultural messaging around identity including race, gender, gender non-conformity, sexual orientation, age and attractiveness. It also explores why our brains are complicit in upholding stereotypes and bias.

A Kingston University graduate, Caryn is the former co-editor of i-D Magazine and presenter of BBC TV’s iconic Clothes Show. She is now a commentator, educator and activist.
