Created especially for the Mid-Autumn Festival (Tết Trung Thu), the limited-edition collection, titled “Metropole – A Tale of the Living Legend,” transforms one of Vietnam’s most cherished seasonal traditions into a refined celebration of history, craftsmanship and hospitality.
Since opening its doors in 1901, Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi has become one of Asia’s most iconic luxury hotels, welcoming royalty, world leaders, artists and discerning travellers while seamlessly blending French elegance with Vietnamese culture.
This year’s anniversary collection pays tribute to that remarkable legacy through handcrafted mooncakes created by the hotel’s culinary team, each made without preservatives and available in both traditional baked and delicate snowskin varieties.
Guests can choose from an array of flavours, including Lotus Seeds & Macadamia Nuts, Orange Zest & Grand Marnier, Mung Beans, Apricots & Salted Egg, Black Sesame & Sunflower Seeds, and Ube & Cordyceps, alongside a traditional mixed selection.
To make the collection even more special, the hotel has partnered with Bát Tràng Museum Atelier, one of Vietnam’s most respected ceramic workshops, to create exclusive handcrafted Heritage Plates. Produced using the atelier’s signature layered glazing technique, every ceramic piece is unique, celebrating both Vietnamese artistry and the enduring legacy of the Metropole.
The collection is presented in beautifully designed gift boxes, including an elegant lacquer box featuring six handcrafted mooncakes, Emperor Lotus & Jasmine Tea and a pair of exclusive Heritage Plates, making it as much a collector’s piece as it is a seasonal gift.
