To celebrate their 20th anniversary Richmond Opera in South West London are delighted to be giving two performances this May 2022. 

The first is at the stunning Normansfield Theatre in Teddington on Saturday 14th May, offering Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas (semi-staged) and the joyful Bach Magnificat in D.

The second performance will be at the intimate OSO Arts Centre in Barnes on Sunday 15th May, giving a matinee showing of the Dido and Aeneas.

With orchestra and dancers, both performances will take you on a journey with the doomed Dido, the Queen of Carthage, and her famed lover the Trojan hero Aeneas.  A tale of seduction, scheming and sorcery, leading to the timeless ‘Dido’s Lament’.
