About us
darling is an independent magazine for Wimbledon women by local women.
Our aim is to provide the local community with the news, the views and the stories that reflect life in our beautiful patch of London. Unlike other magazines available in Wimbledon, our content is original, all of our advertisers are local, and we believe passionately that the community on our doorstep has the talent and the ambition to create a worthwhile conversation about its concerns and prospects without resorting to syndicated material from elsewhere.
We hope that darling provides a platform for all the women of Wimbledon to share their thoughts and aspirations in a mouth piece that does justice to the international reputation, the natural beauty and the vibrant cultural life with which we are so richly blessed.
MERTON BUSINESS AWARDS. darling was nominated for Best New Business and Entrepreneur of the Year in 2010.

Philippa Hennesy is a freelance journalist and regularly contributes to darling. She lives in West Wimbledon with her husband and three boys, finds running therapeutic, plays poker and enjoys nothing more than a large social gathering - in fact, she's a bit of a party girl at heart. Despite leading a rather frenetic lifestyle, Philippa would rather be dashing around than taking time out. Those close to her think she should calm down, practice yoga and indulge in more chocolate..... |

Regular columnist on Points of View, Kate Greenhalgh has lived in Wimbledon for 20 years and teaches English Literature A Level at The Usuline High School. She has five children, two at university and three still at school. She would like to say she is an accomplished cook, linguist, skier, golfer and cellist, but that simply wouldn't be true. Her hobbies are playing pool badly and doing crosswords. Kate graced the cover of our April/May 2010 issue. |
